Oh how the years go by

*this little blast from the past had this sentimental fool weeping*

Not so much the freshly turned 2 year old on a trike he got for his Birthday
Instead a 4 year old riding a "big boy bike" like it's no big deal, down to the river and back without one push, one complaint, one "help me please Mama".

I guess you were ready for a big boy bike, I think it was your Mama and Dada who weren't quite ready.

And then there's this....

And riding together.  Happy. Carefree.

Childhood.

Discovering: Baltimore

I knew we were close to Baltimore but until I drove there yesterday I didn't realize how close we really were.  From our front door to a parking garage in the Inner Harbor: 20 minutes!  Fantastic!  Between Annapolis, Baltimore and D.C. the possibilities are endless!  And FUN!!

Oh how I love this picture of Lucy!  She was obsessed with standing on this surf board!

And I think this was Brady's favorite activity of the day....yes, that's a bubble forming around him!  He was
fascinated!  And so was I!

Should be a great summer ahead to explore our new home.   You should come visit, ok?

Oooooh

this little one can make your blood pressure soar.

I was in her room putting laundry away and I hear her uncontrollable giggling.  Ohhh she was so proud of herself.  Yes that's our new kitchen table that stands almost 4 ft tall.   And that is Lucy standing on it.  Laughing.  Laughing at me.

This was the goal, this is why she was up there.  This is all she wants to do all day.  Smell the flowers.  Which, aren't they gorgeous? My favorite.  Peonies.  My sister got them for me for Mother's Day.
Hope you have a great (calm) weekend.

Fairytales

We waited in line to see the princesses while in Disney with Lucy.  Why?  I'm not sure.  Does she know who they are?  No?  Will she, yes most definitely and I guess that's why I did it.  In a few years when we are obsessed with Cinderella, Belle, etc. I'll be able to show her these pics of when she was just a little one.  She was still pretty sick, you'll see below that she doesn't look well.  Should she have been at the park?  Probably not.  But it was our last day there and I had not really seen much of Orlando except for ER's, urgent care facilities and the inside of our condo (which thank goodness was simply lovely) so yes, I took her and we did our best to have fun.

*warning:funky coloring/lighting/exposure in all of the pics below, I didn't have it in me today to fuss with Photoshop so these are straight out of the camera*

I can't wait to introduce Lucy to the world (and music, oh the music!) of the Disney Princesses.  I'm not a fan of calling little girls "princesses" but for this post we'll say oh how we love our Princess Lucy.

Disney Day 1 - Epcot

We arrived in Orlando on Sunday afternoon.  So of course Monday morning, we were all excited to get to a park!  We started our week at Epcot.  Lucy seemed exhausted from the moment we started but we chalked it up to well the excitement of vacation.....here are some highlights.

Riding the Monorail (Brady's personal favorite)
This was right when we got into the park...little did we know the week that was in store for Lulu.

Loving the characters....

Not really loving the characters.....

Their favorite part of the day perhaps was running through the maze in England.  We were there for over an hour.

And this was my favorite time at Epcot, watching them eat this lollipop.  It's the little things, ya' know....

And just some silly fun from the "adults"

That's all for today!  More to come!

Recovering

It might be quiet around here for awhile, our Disney trip wasn't so magical for this little one

and it could take this Mama some time to recover.

Have a great Monday friends, I hope this post finds you well.  Happy pictures to follow sometime soon.
