My Adventure Acres

A few weeks ago I was at work listening to the radio and I heard an ad for a place called My Adventure Acres located in Bellbrook, just a few miles from our house. Called Mike up and he jumped on the website and we knew it was a place we had to check out. My Adventure Acres is home to the largest corn maze in Ohio. 8.5 miles of trails! Besides the corn maze, we took a hayride,. a cowtrain ride and Brady played on an awesome playset that looked like a Pirate Ship. We had a great time and might take a trip back in November (especially if our Gracie Girl is coming to visit us???? SARAH???)

This picture (courtesy of their website) shows the aerial view. We did the airplane and the car. Brady would like to go back and do the train in the bottom half of the picture.
Brady is a huge fan of this cowtrain! What kid wouldn't be??

These are the Days...

we will remember.

No matter where our Air Force lives take us, these friends will always hold a special place in our hearts for they were Brady's very first friends. And my very first Mommy friends. We love these "babies" like they are our own and we always will. I sure hope our crazy military paths cross again but until then I will cherish these memories and hold the laughter close to my heart.
We love you Gracie Girl, EJ, Hannah and Katie.

A moment in time

My Dad pushing me around in a diaper box holding my first baby doll.....and me pushing Lucy around in a diaper box holding that very same baby doll. And Dad, next time you're here, it's your turn to push Lucy in a diaper box, she loves it, just like I did.

All you can do

is find your camera and laugh. It sure is magical watching little ones discover their world. Even silly things like toilet paper.

Reminded me of this pic of Brady discovering toilet paper in December of 2006.
This picture also made me laugh because our bathroom in our Bellbrook house was hilarious in a charming(ugly) way, look at those cabinets!

Hope you find something magical in your world this weekend.

Fall, you are our favorite

Some pictures (fine, a lot of pictures) from our long walk in the woods at Sugarcreek Metro Park on Columbus Day.

Dada making funny faces with Lucy.

This picture does not capture the beauty that was this orange tree.

The Awesome Pumpkin

Dayton, Ohio is a lovely place to raise a family, I can't say it enough. So many wonderful things to do and many of these wonderful things happen at the Metro Parks. On Thursday we went to a program called The Awesome Pumpkin at Possum Creek Farm Metro Park and it did not disappoint. Brady and his friend K listened to a story, did two crafts, played a game, ate pumpkin snacks and picked two pumpkins. ALL FREE. Oh how I will miss you, Dayton.

We got to feed Quervo, the donkey, some leftover pumpkin cookies. Rosie, the horse, wanted some too!

Isn't fall awesome?
