Coaly

It's already almost the end of the month and I haven't blogged since a few days after Christmas.  The excuse?  Hmmmm, there isn't one.  But every time I walk away from blogging I'm always drawn back in when I look back on everything I've posted here and I think, "thank goodness I wrote that down somewhere, thank goodness I have those pictures".  So maybe I'll give it the old college try.  Again.

For today though, I don't have much to say.  We are grieving the loss of our Coaly dog.  In February of 2014, he suddenly went blind.  It was like a switch, one day he was catching Frisbees in the back yard, the next he was bumping into the wall and anything and everything in his path. It was a hard year for us and I'm sure an awful year for him.  We decided it was time to help him to heaven.  Our house is empty without him, for 12 1/2 years he was our faithful best friend. He lived in Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Ohio, Maryland and California with us.  He explored countless other states with us, hiking, boating, swimming, snow play, beach play,  Wherever we were, he was there too. Usually with a Frisbee in his mouth or at his side.  Words will never do our love for him justice.   Rest well, my love.  We will see you on the other side.

*just a few favorites, I would break the internet if I posted all of my favorites.

Goodbye, my friend.  You're free.

Christmas in Los Angeles

I've been asked more than a dozen times over the last 18 months about Christmas in LA, what's it like, how can it even feel like Christmas, isn't it weird that it's warm.....to us Pennsylvania natives, yes, it is a bit odd but you can't argue with this

I miss you already, SoCal and we still have seven more months here.

Merry Christmas, dear friends and loved ones.

That time of year again

When Disneyland turns merry and it snows in Southern California.  Disney magic at it's finest.

We were treated to a few Christmas songs from Trisha Yearwood!  They were filming for  "Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration" to air on Christmas morning.
And then of course, there's Woody.  No trip to Disney in complete without some time with Woody.  Lucy loves him so much and I will indulge her in this for as long as she likes.  It never, ever gets old.

The parade!  Christmas style!

And of course, the fireworks, oh the fireworks.  Disney always gets this right.

And of course the snow, only at Disney could it "snow".

Thanks, Disney.  Your magic continues to mesmerize all of us.

We'll be back soon.  Until next time.
