twas the week after Christmas

and nothing's going on! It's kind of nice and kind of a let down all at the same time
Here are two pictures that are making me smile this week.
I still am not used to seeing this little one walking all over the place. How did that happen? Not wearing pants seems to be a trait that runs in the family as Lucy, like her brother, would rather not wear them! She doesn't like socks much either. See, she is carrying them in her hands.

What's new with you? Any New Year's Resolutions?

Dear Santa

Hi! How are you? I'm trying to be a good boy this year.
These are some things I would like for Christmas:
Markers
Thomas the Tank Engine Train Wash
A Mickey Mouse shirt
A train shirt
A Christmas ornament that is a train
Thank you Santa. I love you. Merry Christmas.
Love,
Brady

Dear Santa,
I wrote my list on my face. Good luck decoding it.
Love,
Lucy

The Christmas show

Brady has his Christmas "show" at his school, St. Brigid, on Friday, December 11th. The children were so brave and walked across the stage (wearing their animal hats) just like we practiced and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus so sweetly. Here are a few pictures Mike took.

Yeah, that's me, I was the narrator!

Here come the 3 year olds!

The 3 year old's were the 11 puppies because, well it's hard to be 3 and stand still for longer than 30 seconds so we had them come in last on their little rope, it worked out well.
They did great!

All the little animals.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Zollars for coming to Brady's show!

365

365 days ago, you my precious, came down from heaven and changed our lives for good.365 days ago, you made Brady a big brother. 365 days ago you made my heart grow and swell. For 365 days we have loved you...adored you....cherished you. For 365 days our world has been happier because of you. For 365 days we have had a daughter, a baby girl, our Lucy May. 365 days of Lulu, Lu and Lulu Lemon. For 365 days Brady has had a sister, a playmate, a best friend. For 365 days we have smiled bigger because of you, laughed more because of you. For 365 days we have thanked God for blessing us with you. 365 days of you.

365 of the very best days of my life. Happy 1st Birthday, Darling.

She get's it

the whole cake thing.

And at her party on Sunday, where she get's her own cake, we'll really let her go at it. Stay tuned.

Isn't it amazing

how in less than a year, babies go from this to this, standing up next to the tree, breaking ornaments.
This
to this, just standing around in a little wagon, drinking from a straw cup.

Aren't they amazing, sweet, little gifts from Heaven above?

*this will probably be the first of many sentimental posts about Lucy turning 1.

The International Space Station

Ok, that's a stretch for a title but maybe you'll understand after I post this picture

And then tell you that the reason Lucy has a bandaid on her forehead has to do with this
And her brother trying to land it on her head, hence my (clever) title.
Poor babe. It's not pretty under the bandaid. And sometimes it's not easy to have a big brother.

340

the number of lights Mike had to replace to make our tree go from this

to this

The tree is top heavy this year because of this

And this is what my house looked like when we were decorating for Christmas. Please tell me that your house occasionally looks like this too?
Happy Monday!
