Extreme Makover: Home Edition

Today, Brady, Lucy and I (crazy Mama) went to see the Extreme Makover: Home Edition site in Beavercreek, OH, one community over from ours, about 10 minutes away. We waited in a long line to take a bus to the site and then watched the magic unfold in front of our eyes.

You can read the story about the amazing family here. Our dear friend, Gisela, had a hand in nominating this family. This doesn't surprise me for Gisela has such a generous, huge, loving heart.

Mike and I applied to volunteer but never got a call. We heard that the volunteer response was overwhelming. Even though I was really hoping I could help it makes my heart swell knowing that so many people wanted to help.

The "move that bus" is tomorrow around 2pm!

Below are some pics from our adventure:

Top, L-R The house, Brady and Lucy sitting on the bus, Brady and I on the bus, Brady eating a Dilly Bar that the Extreme Makeover volunteers/staff were handing out. Lots of *free* giveaways for the crowd. I thought that was incredible that they were even feeding the crowd.

What goes on behind the scenes is AMAZING! Undescribeable really.

This pic is not very good of anyone but I wanted to document that we were there! See the house in the background?
We will look forward to watching this episode in the Fall!!!

I'm not sure if it was fun for the kids, but it sure was fun for me! I guess Brady really enjoyed the school bus ride to the site and playing in the mud!
