Disneyland {again}

Perhaps I will eventually tire of taking pictures at Disneyland.  It is kind of annoying lugging around the large DSLR but on days like we had on Friday, I'm sure glad I had it with me.

This was our 3rd trip to Disney in less than 3 weeks.  2nd time in a week.  This was the first visit where we took time to enjoy the big and little things.  We arrived right when the park opened which allowed us to knock out 7 rides in one hour and then after that it was laid back and go with the flow.

A special part of our day was visiting with the Long Lost Friends.  We had a special time to meet with them since we are season pass holders.  Thank goodness because once they opened it up to the general public, it was a zoo!

Long Lost Friends was held at Big Thunder Jamboree where Woody's All-American Roundup is normally held.  We spotted these two, Woody and Jesse, in the back corner!  No one seemed to know they were there so we got some quality time with them.  Woody is Lucy's favorite so this was particularly special for her.  They hugged, danced, hugged some more, she got a few kisses from the two of them.  She was over the moon. 

Then we stood in quite a line to meet Peter Pan and Wendy, Mr. Smee and Captain Hook.  I couldn't pick just a few pictures to post here, I just love the expressions of everyone. 

And then another special moment for Lucy who really LOVES the characters in Splash Mountain.  Big hugs for Brer Bear, Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox. 

Lucy decided this time to ride Space Mountain and wow, did she LOVE it!  Look at her here, hands up, enjoying every moment!

We took some time to do something I can't ever remember doing at Disney (but maybe when I was very young?), we rode the Omnibus up Main Street and then the Horse Drawn Trolley back down!  Just for fun! 

While we waited for the trolley, Macy napped in front of the castle.

 

Then we spent some time in the Fire Station.

And then waited for a show we heard about that involved Goofy, Chip n Dale and Cruella De Ville.  Definitely a blast!  And well worth our time.  There was even some audience participation....see below...

Yep, that's Mike, Cruella chose him out of the audience to model some clothes and do a dance!  Hi.larious.

And then some special time watching the fireworks. Again.  Tinkerbell flying is unbelievable.  At Disneyland she does quite the routine through the air, a whole dance all around the castle!  And then she comes back for the finale.   And in between, an even cooler surprise....see below if you are interested!
