The day didn't start off very well.....
Since he wouldn't hold the sign or his new Brady tote bag, Lucy decided she would hold the sign for him. (She put her shoes on this morning...I love it...unbuckled and on the wrong feet)
This is the only "smile" I got until I picked him up at school!
Clinging to me before going into the classroom...this is about when he lost it....
We got him in the door when we reminded him that his classroom has a class pet, a gerbil called "Sandy"
At this point, we needed to leave and our little guy screamed and screamed and well....you get the idea...screaming like I had never heard from him before...I guess this went on for just 15 mins. or so and then his sweet teacher said he gained control of himself and was fine the rest of the morning. He was happy and waiting for me outside with stories to share and paintings to show me.
Heartstrings....parenting tugs at them often, many times in a good way and other times, like today, in a way that makes your heart ache...but you put on your brave face and walk away and know that everyone is going to be OK.

Oh my I am awaiting this day with trepidation. I am proud that you could walk away with the confidence that he'd be ok. What a beautiful and awesome milestone for Brady!
oh man! i wonder why he was so sad, wasn't he great last year? i guess a new place??? i am so sorry---that would have been so hard to see! glad he is a happy boy!
Ahhh, poor little Brady boy. I'm sure he'll meet lots of new friends very soon and will be super excited for school. Has he said anything about wanting to go back on Friday? Sometimes the second day can be worse than the first--just mentally prepare yourself for that possibility but it WILL get better!
Awwwww. Such a face!!!
Hang in there, Brady! You'll have a great time!!!!
(and a hang in there for Mommy too! :)
oh jenny--- but such a cute little boy who did a great job once he took some deep breaths!
Does he miss Mrs. Kim & Mrs. Theresa? OH that face! Your heart had to be breaking! I'm sure it will be a different story after a day or two.
Remembering you and Brenna the first day we left you at PSU and you were 14 years older! ... See how that changed! LOL ... He'll be fine ... I miss my sweet baboo!
