15 months

and such a big, INDEPENDENT (can't stress that one enough) sweet, beautiful girl.

Her newest words:

"this" - to describe everything and anything

"go go go" when she's walking, running, riding in the car, anything really that makes her move.

Keep "go go go"ing darling Lucy, oh how we love you.

Flashback

Lucy has a miserable cold (again). Yesterday she was so fussy and sad that I decided to put some water in the sink and let her splash her feet around.

That didn't last long of course

This little fun made me think of another little one splashing around in the sink, in March of 2007.  Different house and he wasn't as adventurous (or perhaps his mother was a little bit more overbearing/protective)

Oh melt my heart.  Those eyes, that hair.  Sweet sweet boy.

Happy Thursday.  We have a visitor coming today, Mema!!  But Brady doesn't know, it's a surprise!  I think he's going to fall over with excitement.

The little things

Things might seem somewhat mundane around these parts for the next few weeks. You see our Dada is away for awhile and we know that these "little things" are the things that he would like to see.

This morning, I turned my back on Lucy who was eating yogurt , to help Brady and his buddy Carder play Candy Land. When I turned back to Lucy, well, it was clear that she really was enjoying her snack.

Annapolis or Bust

In a little over 6 weeks we will bid Dayton farewell and move on to Annapolis, Maryland. Mike has officially turned over his job at Wright-Patterson AFB. He is now in Alabama for a 5 week training called SOS or Squadron Officer School. This past Thursday afternoon, his office threw him a wonderful going away party.

Colonel Hatfield had some really kind things to say about Mike, specifically he talked about how it is quite an accomplishment for Mike to be teaching at The Naval Academy as a officer from the Air Force.  He of course also had words about Mike's energy and enthusiasm for his job.  I love Lucy in this picture, like it was all about her!

Oh Chris, how we are going to miss you.  We met Chris when we moved to Holloman AFB, New Mexico and he and Mike have been stationed together ever since.  Truly Chris has the kindest heart of anyone I've ever met.

The people Mike has worked with for the past 3 years are remarkable, kind, generous people.  They wrapped their arms around us with love and we will miss all of them.
