I told you so

Remember this picture?

Well that was last Thursday.  Just a cold, remember?

Well here we are 6 days later and she has gotten worse.  It got better, you might remember the cupcake pics, she looked pretty good.  But then it wasn't good.

And today we went back to the Peds Clinic and of course, she has pink eye in both eyes, a sinus infection and her right ear is infected.  Thank goodness I listened to my gut and took her in.  My poor babe.  And her oxygen stats were so low they were going to admit her for hydration.  I begged and pleaded with them to let me take her home and try to get her rehydrated, promising that I would bring her back immediately if I could not get any fluid in her.  She has since had 12 oz of juice so I think we're good to go.  I came home with two antibiotics and hopefully we are on our way to health, happiness and sleep.

Told you so stupid "I say I'm a Doctor" but really have no clue.

Sorry that was mean.

But really, I told you so.

Scene: Mama busy packing, children doing who knows what, Mama has no clue because she it busy packing. Really, she is normally a good mother who pays attention.

Brady: Mom, Lucy's on the table eating my cupcake
Mama: OK Brady (thinking yeah right)

Lucy: giggle giggle giggle

How could I even get mad at this face?

It's a Great Day for Hockey

We grew up loving and I mean loving hockey.  My Dad started taking us to Penguin games when we were very young.  A true passion for the game developed from watching Mario Lemieux lead the Penguins to two Stanley Cup wins when I was in middle school.  I had little rituals that I had to go through before games, lots of Pens tshirts and my parents waited in a few longs lines with me so I could get autographs.

On Saturday, Laura and I went to a Pens game, my first since before Brady was born.  Oh I had missed that atmosphere.  Our cousin Kyle, works for the Carolina Hurricanes, the Penguins opponent. and he was able to get some INCREDIBLE tickets for us.   This was most likely the last game we would attend in the famed and very old Mellon Arena (Civic Arena) or "The Igloo"

The Penguins new home starting next season.
I love Pittsburgh.
Kyle, Laura and I before the game.  Thanks Mr. Staal for taking our picture!

First faceoff of the game.  If you are a hockey fan you will notice that Eric Staal is taking the faceoff for the Hurricanes and Jordan Staal is taking the faceoff for the Penguins. Yes, brothers!  And we happened to be sitting next to their father for the game!
A little hockey brawl.
Sid the Kid

The Penguins lost the game with 0.9 seconds left in overtime.  It was a heartbreaker but SO exciting.  Really.  We had a fantastic afternoon.  Thanks for the tickets Kyle and thanks to my parents for staying home with Brady and Lucy.

Don't worry

*warning, snotty, yucky, goopy face below
It's just a cold.

SERIOUSLY???  My child looks like this and "it's just a cold"  Took her to the doc this morning and that's what I was told.  Poor babe.

At least she's still smiling.  Me, not so much....I just want some sleep.

Joy!

We just got word that this beautiful house of ours has SOLD.  Thanks for the memories beautiful house.  We have loved living here, loved bringing Lucy home here and loved watching our sweet little ones love life here.  But now it's time to move on.  Just a few more days and we will have a new place to call home, a new place for new memories.
Home is where the Air Force sends you......

Grand

Have you ever been here?

If you haven't and you are in Nashville sometime, you should go.  The Opryland Hotel.  It's a pretty spectacular place.

And finish your day there with an ice cream at Haagen-Dazs.

It was a good ol' grand day.

Erin Go Bragh

We really enjoyed this gorgeous, almost spring, St. Patty's Day!

First we made green rice krispy treats!
And ate the Irish flag
Then they smiled for my camera wearing their green.  Lucy's changed a lot since last year, yes?

We had such a fun St. Patrick's Day!  Erin Go Bragh (or Ireland 'til the end just in case you never knew what that meant!)  Happy St. Patrick's Day from the McZollars!
